(3) An Independence Day Warning From Rev. Malkmus
As I write this, we are only a few days away from celebrating the 233rd anniversary of our nation’s Independence. Yet if you are like me, it’s hard to get into the celebratory mood, as we see our government rapidly taking away individual rights and see our national freedoms rapidly slipping away.
During the past six months we have seen our government take over the Banking and Auto industry, while doing its best to take over the Health Care industry, and is poised to destroy the Energy industry with Cap and Trade, legislation which if implemented would add a tax onto not only the energy we use, but also on almost everything we buy.
During this same six month period, after our government told us they needed nearly a trillion dollars to stimulate the economy in order to prevent jobless rates rising above 8%, jobless rates hit 10.4 percent this past week and are projected to continue rising. While at the same time, our government’s weakness in dealing with America’s enemies has caused Iran and North Korea to become emboldened, making nuclear threats.
Mr. Obama, during his campaign for the presidency of these United
States, promised that if elected he would bring “CHANGE” to America. Sadly, no one asked what kind of “CHANGE” he was talking about. It would appear that our current president and administration is bent on destroying the Capitalist system that has served our nation so well for 233 years, and replacing it with a Socialist system, that has proven disastrous to every nation that has adopted it.
ARE YOU AWARE THAT THE BIBLE PROMOTES CAPITALISM
“And behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.” (Revelation 22:12) “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat." (II Thessalonians 3:10)
SOCIALISM DESTROYS INCENTIVE TO WORK – Under Socialism, the worker’s reward (income) is taken away by the government in taxes and given to those who have less. This takes away the incentive to work and excel, because the reward for doing so has been removed by government. Currently, in our country, approximately 40% of the people pay no taxes, thus placing an ever heavier burden on the 60% who do.
In Health Tip #591, dated March 17, 2009, I warned of the impending disaster that awaits our nation if our government continued its march away from Capitalism and toward Socialism. In that same Health Tip I gave the following definitions of Capitalism, Socialism; and Communism:

“COMMUNISM – . . . a system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated by a single political party. . .” (Webster’s Dictionary)
WHAT CAN WE DO TO STOP OUR NATION’S RAPID SLIDE INTO SOCIALISM
***PRAY – “If my people, which are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land.” (II Chronicles 7:14)
***BECOME INFORMED – Most of the press and Television News outlets are liberal and desirous of turning our country into a Socialist nation. Fortunately, there are still available to us the following sources of conservative news: TELEVISION – Fox News; TALK RADIO – Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, and Sean Hannity; ON THE WEB: www.newsmax.com (And before you criticize any of these conservative news sources, listen to what they have to say before believing the negative things being said about them by those who desire to bring Socialism to our land.)
***CAST YOUR VOTE – Just a little over one year from now, we the people, will have an opportunity at the ballot box to cast a vote to either continue the current madness of our country’s march toward Socialism, or the opportunity to say “ENOUGH.”
Friends, it is not too late to stop this power grab and the take-over of our government by those who want to take away the power of the people and take it unto themselves. But to stop it, we must have an informed electorate who will not only pray, but also let their representatives in Washington know they are against what is happening and then use the ballot box to bring about the CHANGE necessary to restore our nation to THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE!
And for those who question my involvement in the political, let me just say that if we the people do not get involved in the political, we will soon no longer have a representative government, nor the freedom to choose how we live or even take care of our own health. Friends, the “HEALTH” of our Nation is at stake!

(5) Meat Does A Body "Bad" – The Dangers of Animal Flesh
In Health Tip #596 I made the statement: “Eliminate the consuming of animal source foods from your diet and you eliminate almost any fear of ever experiencing not only cancer, a heart attack or a stroke, but also Type 2 diabetes, arthritis, gout, osteoporosis, asthma, sleep apnea, snoring, heart burn, acid stomach, and the list goes on and on and on.” You can read the entire text of Health Tip #596 at http://www.hacres.com/healthtipArticles2009/596_all.asp.
In response to Health Tip #596, a subscriber challenged me to prove that animal sourced foods were the cause of heart attacks and strokes with these words: “Dr. Malkmus, can you prove that eating meat is the cause of heart attacks and strokes! I just don’t believe it!” In Health Tip #597 I proved, to the satisfaction of most, that indeed meat (and dairy) is the primary cause of heart attacks and strokes. In Health Tip #598 I showed with much undeniable evidence that consuming animal sourced foods is also the primary cause of CANCER. Then in Health Tip #599 we learned that animal source foods are the primary cause of TYPE II DIABETES. In Health Tip #600 we learned that animal source foods are the primary cause of ARTHRITIS. In Health Tips #601 and 602 we learned that animal source foods are the primary cause of OSTEOPOROSIS. In Health Tip #603, we learned that animal source foods are the primary cause of Asthma. And in last week’s Health Tip #604 we dealt specifically with cow milk in an article titled: “COW MILK DOES A BODY ‘BAD’”.

In this Health Tip we are going to deal with another food that was not a part of the Garden Diet God gave Adam in Genesis 1:29. And what is that food? It is the flesh of animals; a food the body was not designed by God to be nourished with, and when consumed “DOES A BODY ‘BAD’”
MEAT DOES A BODY ‘BAD” (The Dangers of Animal Flesh)
I am going to begin by making a statement, and before we conclude dealing with this subject I believe you will AGREE with what I am about to say, . . . that is, if you will allow your mind to be challenged with truth, and if after your mind has been challenged with truth, you are willing to accept that truth:
“ANIMAL FLESH, ALONG WITH COW MILK, ARE THE MOST DANGEROUS AND DESTRUCTIVE FOODS ONE CAN CONSUME, AND THE CAUSE OR CONTRIBUTING CAUSE OF MOST PHYSICAL PROBLEMS!”
I can already hear the howls of protest as person after person retorts: “But we need to eat the flesh of animals to get our protein, to build muscles, and to obtain strength and we need cow milk to get our calcium. Rev. Malkmus, how can you make such a statement when the nutritional experts tell us it is an absolute necessity that we consume animal flesh and dairy to be properly nourished?”
In response to this question, hold onto your hats, for if you are willing to continue reading you are going to have challenged some things you have been programmed with since your earliest remembrance. Here is the first question for your consideration:
ARE WE INSTINCTIVELY CARNIVORES (Flesh Eaters)?
Place a child in a room with only a small chicken and an apple for food. When the child gets hungry, will the child instinctively chase the chicken until it catches it, and then sink its teeth into the feathers and flesh, and consume that flesh raw, along with the blood and guts? Or rather, will the child instinctively eat the apple and play with the chicken? If man was designed by God to eat animal flesh, would there not be a natural killer instinct built into him, to chase down and eat the chicken?
Now, place a fox in an enclosure with only a chicken and an apple for food. Will the fox sit down and eat the apple and romp with the chicken? Or rather, will the fox not instinctively chase the chicken until it catches it, and then tear into its flesh with its teeth, eating the flesh, the blood, and the guts?
In nature we find basically two kinds of animal – carnivores and herbivores! And you will find that each, in nature, will instinctively seek out the food God designed each to be nourished with – carnivores will seek out and eat the flesh of another animal, while herbivores will seek out and consume only plant foods.
HOW CAN WE TELL IF AN ANIMAL IS A CARNIVORE OR HERBIVORE?
One way you can tell what foods an animal was designed by God to consume is by looking into its mouth and examining its teeth, as well as by observing a few other obvious differences:

As you can clearly see from the above, humans are herbivores by God’s design. In fact, humans are the exact opposite of a carnivore. Some may claim that we are omnivores (designed to consume both animal flesh and plant sourced foods), but you will find the profile of an omnivore to be almost identical to that of a carnivore. Herbivores eat no flesh, while most carnivores eat some plants. If you take a look at the teeth of a lion or a cat you see what fangs look like – and no, humans do not have them!
In order for humans to experience the health God designed their physical body to enjoy, they must consume the foods God designed their physical bodies to be nourished with. And God made it abundantly clear what foods humans were to consume in Genesis 1:29:
“AND GOD SAID, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed: to you it shall be for meat (food).”
There is no animal flesh to be found in the Genesis 1:29 diet my friend! And may I ask: “Who would better know what foods our physical bodies were designed to be nourished with, than the very Creator of our physical body?”
And God did create the human physical body: “So God created man (Genesis 1:27) . . . And God blessed them (verse 28) . . . And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed (verse 29) . . . And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.” (Genesis 1:31).
According to the Scriptures, God was very pleased with both his human and plant creation, and interestingly, man did not consume the flesh of an animal until some 1,700 years after God exiled man from the Garden of Eden. And of further interest, during those 1,700 years while living on that 100% plant-based Genesis 1:29 diet, there is not a single recorded instance of sickness, and man lived to an average age of 912 years (The average age of the patriarchs at death).
Now, look very carefully at what the circumstances were under which God gave man permission to consume the flesh of an animal for the very first time? “And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.” (Genesis 7:19)
Clearly, it was only after all garden foods had been destroyed by the flood that God gave man permission to consume the flesh of an animal in Genesis 9:3. Is it not obvious to the reader that this permission by God to consume the flesh of the clean animals on the ark was for survival purposes and not an indication that God now wanted His human creation to become carnivores?
Friend, take a moment and look at your teeth and your nails. Do you have the teeth and nails of a carnivorous animal? It would be good if you just took a moment to examine again the chart above, and see just how many characteristics your body has that are similar to those of a carnivore.
SIMPLY BY WATCHING NATURE WE CAN LEARN A LOT
For humans, food is our fuel, and when we consume flesh or dairy, we are placing into our glorious God made physical bodies substances the body has great difficulty dealing with and that literally makes us sick. With just a little understanding of physiology, one can quickly understand what foods we should allow to enter our body, and what food items we should avoid.
Animals in the wild have obviously not lost the natural instincts God placed within them when He created them. MAN HAS!
Carnivores usually eat very sporadically, once a day at most, and then sleep or remain inactive most of the rest of the day. This allows the carnivore time to digest and excrete the putrefactive waste meat produces. Herbivores on the other hand eat often and remain awake and active most of the day. Carnivores die very young if you compare their longevity to that of herbivores.
The flesh of animals and plant source foods are utilized and decompose very differently within the body, and this provides another clear indication of which foods each animal creation was designed by God to consume. Plant materials decompose into basic chemical elements, while flesh rots as it decays.
Carnivorous animals have very short intestines (about 3 times body length) to allow for the rapid removal of the flesh from the body before putrefaction sets in. It is just the reverse with herbivores, which have a very long intestine (about 6 times body length). This long intestine allows for the absorption of the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, phytochemicals, etc., the plant-sourced foods contain.
When humans consume the flesh of an animal, because it contains no fiber (as do plant sourced foods) the flesh moves very sluggishly through the 30 feet of tubing between the mouth and the anus, and in an almost 100 degree atmosphere (98.6 degrees), putrefies. This rotting flesh in the intestinal tract not only is the cause of body odor, but the cause of a myriad of physical problems, including IBS, colitis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s, Diverticulitis, Diverticulosis, colon cancer, and the list doesn’t stop there.
HEALTH REQUIRES WE ALIGN OUR BODY WITH GOD AND NATURE
If we desire the health God designed our physical bodies to experience, we must align our body with its biological and physiological make up. Clearly, when we look at the physical body we each possess, we see a body that was designed by God to be nourished exclusively with plant foods.
And when we look around us, we clearly see the consequences in physical breakdown humans experience as a result of eating foods found outside of the garden – especially when humans consume animal source foods. If we want to improve our health, and experience the health God designed for these physical bodies we each possess, we must bring what we eat in line with our physiological make up, and what God told us we should eat in Genesis 1:29.
For far too long, the Christian community has tried to emulate the world’s eating habits. Christians have accepted the teachings of this world’s nutritionists (influenced by the meat, dairy and egg industries), who are just as sick as the people they are teaching what to eat. Almost everyone today is falling into the common ditch of sickness, both Christian and non-Christian alike, because they have left God’s instruction as to what humans were designed by God to consume for food. It is only those who have returned to eating exclusively garden foods who are escaping the physical ills of our day.
We need to realize that it is only when man stops consuming animal sourced foods, both flesh and dairy, that we will be able to eliminate most of the diseases that are making mankind sick and causing early and untimely deaths!
The following is only a partial list of the physical problems caused by the consuming of animal source foods: heart attacks, strokes, cancers, diabetes, arthritis, asthma, osteoporosis, acid stomach, heartburn, obesity, and the list goes on.
CONCLUSION
Today’s scientists and researchers are looking for cures for cancer and heart disease and for the obesity epidemic overwhelming our meat and dairy consuming society. Unfortunately, until man aligns himself with the Genesis 1:29 diet and with the natural laws we observe in nature, all the money spent on searching for solutions to our physical ills will be in vain.
When this editor stopped consuming animal source foods 33 years ago, at the age of 42, and switched to a 100% plant based diet (Genesis 1:29), all my physical problems went away and have stayed away. I have even been able to eliminate my need for eyeglasses, and at 75 years of age have a strong, healthy and muscular body, with a full head of hair, a sound mind, and incredible energy.
Friends, people will never obtain the health they so desire, nor the health God designed their physical bodies to experience, as long as they continue placing into their bodies those substances that are causing their sicknesses. Stop the cause, and sickness will disappear. National Health Care will not solve people’s physical problems, but God’s Genesis 1:29 diet will!

In last week’s Health Tip 605 we talked about how “Cow Milk does a Body “BAD.” Many asked that if “Cow Milk Does a Body ‘BAD’”, is there a milk that does a body “GOOD?” The following response is my answer. It is a tasty, delicious, and nutritious milk the children (as well as adults) love, without any of the “BAD.”
1/4 cup raw almonds (soaked overnight in distilled water and drained the next morning)
2 Medjool Dates, pitted (soaked overnight in 2 cups distilled water (save soaking water)
3/4 teaspoon pure vanilla)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Place dates in a jar with 2 cups of distilled water, cover, and place in the refrigerator overnight. The following morning place soaked almonds, along with soaked dates and soaking water in a blender along with vanilla and cinnamon if using, and process until creamy (A Vita-Mix or Blend Tec blender produce the best milk). Strain “milk” through cheesecloth or fine strainer to remove any remaining pulp. The milk will keep 2-3 days in the refrigerator. ENJOY
